We Styled It | Gibson street, Cooks Hill

Updated: Feb 21

Today on #WeStyledIt - (Yes, that's our new blog name. I literally just pulled it from who knows where, and I'm going with it!) I want to show you through what has quite possibly been one of my favourite projects to date!

When Andrew Walker from Street Property Newcastle invited me out to style this home for sale, I knew I was in for something pretty special. The captivating scale of the home's exterior frontage intrigued me from the start. As I explored it's impressive three levels, I immediately knew the home called for a classic, elegant style with a fresh twist.

It's exciting (and nerve racking) to see a project through from an initial vision, to completion. You can only plan so much, but at the end of the day you really don't know how the result is going to look until the install day when it's all hands on deck! I think that is part of what I love about the job so much - the satisfaction of seeing it all come together each time. Its a mini-win and a sense of relief, "we did it!" Perhaps it was the multiple flights of stairs that did it - But this particular project was certainly no exception....

Each new level of this home brings a new element of surprise. With a sense of warmth and calmness, it really is a home that you fall in love with straight away and it was important for us to reflect that same feeling in our styling.

Up there amongst one of (it's a hard choice) my favourite rooms in the house, was this gorgeous king sized room on the third floor. Flooded with natural light coming through two large windows and striking vaulted ceilings, it's a space you can easily imagine a slow Sunday morning. As if that bed doesn't make you want to jump right in!?

Also on the third floor is another space that really takes you by surprise - it's almost a whole new living quarters in itself! After discussions with Andrew we knew it was functionally important to showcase this space as a fourth bedroom, yet also show it's versatility as a third living space and the awesome entertaining potential that it has.

What an opportunity it was to style this stunning property. If this is the direction we are headed for 2020, we cannot wait to see what else is in store! Stay tuned...

Couldn't have done this one without,
